In February 2024, HEJ FC proudly hosted its very first school half-term skills camp, welcoming over 70 enthusiastic young footballers from across Milton Keynes. The camp, designed for children aged 5-10, transformed their half-term break into an unforgettable week filled with football madness and fun. Running from 8am to 6pm each day, the camp provided an immersive experience for budding football stars.
A Week of Skill-Building and Fun
The camp kicked off each morning with fun games, dancing to football songs, series of warm-up exercises, ensuring the young players were ready for a full day of activities. From dribbling drills to shooting practice, each session was carefully crafted to enhance the children’s skills while keeping the atmosphere light-hearted and enjoyable.
HEJ FC’s dedicated coaches played a crucial role in the camp’s success. Their expertise and enthusiasm not only taught the children valuable football techniques but also fostered a love for the game. The coaches ensured that every child, regardless of their skill level, felt included and motivated.
Positive Feedback from Players and Parents
The feedback from both players and parents was overwhelmingly positive. Many parents expressed their gratitude for providing such a well-organized and engaging camp.
I think the camp was great. From my perspective as a parent, the hours were great due to working full time and I had a very happy child (who begged to come back on a day he didn’t have too!). All the people in charge were friendly, welcoming and from what I could see it was well run. From my son’s perspective, he loved it, particularly the hot chocolate and speed machine (i think that’s what he said). He said there was nothing to improve on to make it better. Brilliant football coaching for ALL ability levels and so so much fun. Our son can be a little shy in new situations but within minutes the team had him charging about with all the other children having a brilliant time. He attended Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. He had a few of his current friends attending HEJ and he also made new friends and his confidence soared during his time at HEJ. I would highly recommend HEJ for all children boys and girls of ages up to 9, who are looking improve their abilities and that love football and sport, you won’t be disappointed. 5 stars in every way. – Shevvy
