Who Is HEJ Athletic Football Club?

HEJ Athletic is an FA-affiliated grassroots football club, formed and located in Milton Keynes since 2018 and is run by parent volunteers.

What is HEJ Football Athletic Club Philosophy?

HEJ Athletic Football Club recognises that all children within our club play football for different reasons. The football club is and has always been inclusive for boys and girls and wants all of its current and future members to enjoy playing football, having fun and learning and developing their football skills in a safe, and well-managed environment with training sessions twice a week for an affordable and low-cost membership.

Where are HEJ Athletic Football Club Located?

Hej Athletic Football Club is based at Giffard Park Primary School on Broadway Ave, Giffard Park, Milton Keynes, MK14 5PY.

Where do HEJ Football Club Train?

All of the HEJ teams from U7’s upwards train on Monday and Friday evenings at Giffard Park Primary School.

March – October – 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
October – March – Training times are staggered between 5:45 – 7:30 pm

What does my child need to wear at HEJ Football Club Training sessions?

Every child who attends HEJ training sessions needs to be wearing age-appropriate shin pads, and suitable footwear for the playing surfaces for the grass, astro or hard-court surfaces, football boots or trainers. Every player needs to bring a drink.

What age groups do HEJ Athletic Football Club currently offer?

  • U5’s Age group: 4–5 year-old olds (Reception/Foundation children) – Saturday Mornings / Afternoons 
  • U6’s Age group: 5- 6 years (Year 1 school Children) – Saturday Mornings / Afternoons
  • U7’s Age group: 6–7 year-olds (Year 2 school children)
  • U8’s Age group: 7–8 Year-olds (Year 3 School Children)
  • U9’s Age group: 8-9 Year olds (Year 4 School Children)

When does my child get a HEJ Athletic football Club Match Kit?

Once your child has registered for HEJ Football Club and paid their annual membership and if there is space in one of the HEJ teams’ parents will be given the opportunity to purchase a HEJ match kit for £30.

Where do HEJ Athletic Football Club Play their Matches?

All of the grassroots match friendlies and League games are played on Saturday mornings between 09:00 am – 12:00 pm. All Home games are played at Giffard Park Primary school. Coaches and managers will provide game details in advance of matches.

How much do I have to Pay for my child to Join HEJ Athletic Football Club?

The yearly player membership cost is £200. We are requesting that parents make a payment of £200 on the 1st of July each year. If anyone needs financial help, please contact the club treasurer.

Can Boys and Girls train and play at HEJ Athletic Football Club?

HEJ Athletic is an inclusive football club and boys and Girls are welcome and some of our current HEJ teams have mixed players with boys and girls.

Who runs HEJ Athletic Football Club and their Committee?

  • Club Chairman – Matthew is a founding member of HEJ Football Club and is responsible for overseeing all the activities within the football club and managing the club committee, and ensuring the club philosophy and standards are implemented.
  • Club Secretary / Football Operations – Leon set up HEJ Football Club in 2018 at a recreational park in Bletchley. Leon is responsible for overseeing all correspondence club admin and managing the football and general club matters.
  • Club Welfare & Safeguarding Officer – Tracey has been part of the HEJ team since 2025 and she now manages any safeguarding and welfare issues that may arise within the club and ensure all FA safeguarding standards are met.
  • Club Treasurer – Vince is a founding member of the HEJ team since 2018 and is responsible for managing all the club finances, annual budget, and club accounts.
  • Club Webmaster and communications Officer– Enock has been part of the HEJ team since 2018, he manages the club website and oversees and assists with all club communications and advertising.
  • GRASSROOTS Football Advisor – Vaughan joined HEJ FC in 2021. He has over 15 years of experience and knowledge from coaching grassroots football within Milton Keynes and he currently advises the club on all football-related matters.
  • HEAD of Football – James has been part of the HEJ team since 2021, with over 30 years of experience from playing and coaching football in Milton Keynes. James has implemented FA player development and coaching structure within the club.

When we join HEJ Athletic Football Club is there registration forms parents have to complete?

Every player who joins HEJ Athletic Football Club needs their parent to register them on the FA online Whole Game System. All HEJ parents will have to create an online FAN profile for themselves and their child so all their personal details are stored securely and they will then be assigned to HEJ Athletic once the FAN account has been created.

Where will parents find out HEJ Athletic Football Club information?

Once a player has been registered at HEJ Football Club their parents will be added to the HEJ club and team Whatsapp groups or SPOND APP.

What are the rules at HEJ Athletic Football Club?

We want every player at HEJ Athletic to enjoy themselves and we will not tolerate any verbal abuse from parents or players. Alcohol is not permitted under any circumstances and there is a no smoking policy at Giffard Park school. Dogs are not permitted or allowed on the school grounds unless risk is assessed and agreed upon by the club committee and school in advance.

What events does HEJ Football Club run?

Each year HEJ Athletic arranges a summer presentation in July and a Christmas party in December which is included in the membership price.

When does HEJ Football Club have breaks from training?

HEJ Athletic Football Club shuts down and gives players breaks during school half-terms and there is no football on bank holidays. The club will finish for 3-4 weeks in the summer holidays at the beginning of August each year after the tournament season ends. Pre-season training resumes at the beginning of September.
